Apple has today made a new version of the Developer Strap for the Apple Vision Pro available for preorder. The strap is used for connecting the spatial computer to a Mac for development purposes.
The new strap arrives as the new M5 Apple Vision Pro officially goes on sale around the globe, and it brings with it a notable speed upgrade. The original Developer Strap was limited to just USB 2.0 data transfer speeds of up to 480Mbps. Whereas the newly updated version offers fast transfer speeds of up to 20Gbps which will make a huge difference for developers.

The Developer Strap is an optional accessory that provides a USB-C connection between Apple Vision Proand Mac and is helpful for accelerating the development of graphics-intensive apps and games. The Developer Strap provides the same audio experience as the in-box Right Audio Strap, so developers can keep the Developer Strap attached for both development and testing.
On the outside, the overall design of the Apple Vision Pro Developer Strap is essentially unchanged, and is available in all the same countries as the Apple Vision Pro. It can be preordered now with deliveries taking place next week, with developers paying $299.
The new Developer Strap is compatible with the new M5 Apple Vision Pro as well as the original M2 version.
