It’s taken longer than many had hoped, but the new Full Self-Driving (Supervised) feature is now rolling out to Tesla vehicles in Australia and New Zealand for the first time.
The confirmation came on the X social network, with a new software update required to add the features to existing EVs. This is the first time that FSD has been available in any country that drives on the left-hand side of the road. That alone makes this release notable.
Not a Tesla App notes that “the update that will add FSD in Australia and New Zealand is version 2025.26.7.10.” The release notes for this version are almost identical to those shared with the same update in the United States..
Titled “FSD (Supervised) v13.2.9 Down Under,” the new update even featured an upside-down image – a nod to Australia being “down under.”
In an attempt to tease new buyers, Tesla is offering a free FSD trial on every new vehicle sold in Australia and New Zealand. The trial will run for 30 days, allowing buyers to experience what FSD has to offer before making a decision whether to add it to their EV full-time.

Tesla is yet to say exactly when owners of its vehicles can expect the FSD update to start rolling out, but it’s expected to be very soon and possibly over the weekend.
