Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro becomes available to customers Friday, September 18. While for the first time ever the Pro models have been outshone by a new option — in this case the iPhone Duo, which launches later in October — this update brings important improvements in battery life, camera, and general efficiency with a vapor chamber better integrated with the processor, ensuring users have more horsepower for a longer period. Whether you’re upgrading from iPhone 17 or you’ve been holding onto your previous phone for years, there are a few essential accessories that can make your life better, while making your device more secure, including a proper case, a screen protector, a new pair of headphones, and something that can make your phone have a little flair.

These accessories come from trusted brands that have been reviewed by BGR in the past, but have also been used by thousands of customers that left positive reviews on the internet about these accessories. Some of them are also part of my favorite items whenever I get a new phone, as they make my shiny iPhone more protected. Even though some of these options can be a bit expensive, they also ensure proper longevity, following you and your iPhone until you decide to upgrade again — or maybe even longer.

That said, it’s important to note that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max feature the same dimensions of the previous generation, meaning that most accessories currently available to the iPhone 17 Pro/iPhone 17 Pro Max can already be used for these new models.

Moft’s Snap Case MOVAS

One of the biggest iPhone accessory categories is cases. There are a multitude of options from brands across the globe, including minimalist cases. You can get a new case from Apple, Nomad, Casetify, Beats, and so on. However, the one that I’ve been using for the past two generations of iPhones is Moft’s Snap Case MOVAS. Made of vegan leather, which includes a protective coating, a colored polyurethane layer, and reinforced woven backing, this generation of Moft’s cases are lighter, softer, and per the company, more sustainable.

For the iPhone 18 Pro, the case weighs 0.98 oz. In general, it got 0.15 mm thinner on the sides, 0.4 mm thinner on its structure, and the magnet is also 0.1 mm thinner. Still, the company raised the screen bezel 1.4mm and the camera ring 0.65 mm to ensure that if your phone falls, the case is all that’s facing damage. Moft says its MOVA cases feel better in hand, as they feature wider, more rounded metal buttons so it’s easier to press the volume and Action keys. The case is also slightly more rounded and more practical to hold throughout the day.

From my experience, the past two models held up very well over a year without discoloring or apparent marks. More impressively, for me, is that I chose the Misty Cove version, which if it was from Apple, I know would get smudged very fast. Moft’s case costs $49.99, and comes in several different colors.

Belkin’s Titan SmartShield Pro

Belkin is one of the most recognizable brands behind charging accessories for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. However, Belkin also sells screen protectors, which, in my and several other customers’ experiences, are some of the best on the market. For example, I use Belkin’s protective case on the Nintendo Switch 2, and after a year, everything looks as good as new. For the iPhone 18 Pro models, the company has an all-new bright privacy screen protector, which is the closest iPhone users will get to Samsung Galaxy 26 Ultra’s privacy display.

Belkin says this screen protector uses light-diffusing technology to conserve battery, while still keeping the display 10% brighter than traditional screen protectors. With 9ft impact protection and tested heavy-duty scratch resistance, Belkin says iPhone users will get the perfect balance between privacy and durability. After all, what makes this case so useful is that you get a perfect view when you’re facing the phone, but anyone else around you can’t peek into your display, ensuring you can use your bank account, unlock your phone through a code, and text privately without anyone knowing your business.

The Titan SmartShield Pro also comes with anti-reflective technology to reduce glare, an anti-fingerprint coating to keep the screen smudge-free, and features a close-and-pull installation so users don’t get any bubbles, dust, or issues while installing the protective case at home. It costs $64.99, and it’s the most premium Belkin screen protector to date.

Anker’s MagGo 2 Pro

The latest iPhone models, including the iPhone 18 Pro, feature support for 25W wireless charging, meaning that customers can get 50% of battery life in around 30 minutes. While this technology represents a big leap for wireless charging, it also makes both the power bank and phone hot due to the charger generating more heat. Even though the iPhone 17 Pro features a vapor chamber, and the iPhone 18 Pro uses an improved version that sits atop the processor, the best way to charge your phone wirelessly, especially on more demanding days, is with a power bank with an active cooling system, such as Anker’s MagGo 2 Pro.

Anker promises a steady 96.8 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the entire time when the phone is charging. With a 45W fast recharge, users can quickly recharge the power bank, or go from 0 to 80% on an iPhone in under an hour. Anker’s MagGo 2 Pro power bank also features a smart display that highlights the health battery of the accessory, how much battery it has left, and even the current temperature the power bank is running.

This accessory features the same colors of the latest iPhone 18 Pro models, a built-in stand so you can watch your favorite content while charging the phone, and a 10,000 mAh battery, which is more than enough to charge any Apple phone for at least a full charge. This accessory costs $109.99.

AirPods 5

Alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models, new Apple Watches, and iPhone Duo, Apple released the fifth generation of AirPods. More affordable than ever, even the cheapest model now comes with Active Noise Cancelling, which the company says reduces noise 50% better than the previous generation — followed by another big claim that AirPods 5 feature the best ANC in open-ear earbuds. In addition, Transparency mode also works beautifully, as surrounding sounds can easily pass through these earbuds, so other people’s voices don’t sound robotic.

Like the previous generations of AirPods Pro 2, AirPods 4, and the current AirPods Pro 3, the new AirPods 5 is also powered by the same H2 audio chip. Apple says this accessory has been re-engineered with a new multiport acoustic architecture, which improves Adaptive EQ with richer, more detailed sound when listening to your favorite tunes. These earbuds also feature support for Siri AI when connected to a supported iPhone, Live Translation, and a new Adaptive EQ functionality that lets you customize how the AirPods sound.

While users have a wide range of Apple AirPods and other earbuds to choose from, AirPods 5 can be a great combo with the iPhone 18 Pro, especially for those who don’t like the in-ear design of AirPods Pro but still want the latest technologies. The AirPods 5 start at $129, and the higher-end version at $149 features slightly better battery life and wireless charging support as key differentiators.

Apple’s Wrist Strap

Followed by several lanyards introduced with the iPhone 17 models in 2025, Apple continues to expand on its accessories by introducing an all-new $29 wrist strap. In six different colors, Apple says this product is designed to attach to iPhone cases and AirPods Pro to offer a convenient hands-free experience to carry these products. Apple says they are made from 100% recycled PET yarns, and sit comfortably on people’s wrists for all-day wear.

They’re compatible with Apple’s main cases for the iPhone Air, 17e, 17, 17 Pro/Max, and 18 Pro models with a length of 15.4 inches, meaning that they won’t feel too long on the wrist. Luckily, this wrist strap also works with Moft’s case highlighted in this article.

While Apple doesn’t talk a lot about why it continues to bet on lanyards and now wrist straps, there’s been a movement of people wearing those accessories with their iPhones. Even though there isn’t much to innovate on this product, this can be a great way to add some flair to the new iPhone 18 Pro, especially because the wrist straps match the new colors, and also some of the latest Apple Watch bands. While the iPhone 18 Pro launches Friday, customers can already get their hands on the new wrist straps, and they also don’t need to only put them on their phone, as they’re also compatible with the aforementioned AirPods Pro, and any other product with a lanyard hole.
